Started in 1973 by Brian and Sylvia Sheppard in Catisfield, the business grew, with a reputation for high quality meat and service.  Then taking on and moving to the site today in Stubbington in 1982 and quickly became a well established and popular draw to the village.

In 1989 son Andrew also joined the business, followed by sister Melanie in 2012.  Andrew and Melanie now run the business together after Brians retirement.
